Dear Members,
Canonbury Tower Heritage Plaque Update
Heritage England and Islington Borough Council have supported our plan for educational interpretation at Canonbury Tower. Permissions and drawings are complete; now we need to fund the plaque’s manufacture. Despite positive feedback, major heritage funding bids were unsuccessful due to limited resources.
We believe this project is valuable and seek your support to help commemorate Canonbury Tower and Francis Bacon’s legacy. We are also reaching out to local history groups and related institutions for assistance.
If you can contribute, any amount will bring us closer to creating a lasting tribute for 2026. There is no obligation—but your support will be much appreciated.
You can donate via the GoFundMe link below. (anonymously if you prefer)
Thank you for your continued support.
Much love to all.
Sally
