Thomas Bokenham known as "Bokie" has been an avid researcher on the Shakespeare Authorship issue for over forty years. His specialty has been discovering cyphers in the text of the Shakespeare Sonnets, the 1623 Folio, Bacon and Shakespeare monuments. This has convinced him that Francis Bacon was the author of Shakespeare, was of a royal birth and had affiliation with the Rosicrucian Fraternity. He has contributed his time with The Francis Bacon Society as Chairman and Treasurer while penning numerous articles for Baconiana and is the author of two short books "Bacon, Shakespeare and the Rosicrucians" and "A Brief History of the Bacon-Shakespeare Controversy."
In November,1994, Bokey appeared in a BBC TV documentary which was watched by millions called "The Battle of Wills" where he presented evidence of a cypher on the Shakespeare Monument in Poets Corner inside Westminster Abbey.
