"Shakespeare" wrote the play "Julius Caesar" to
exemplify the passion of envy, and it was first published in
1623.
Is it a coincidence that in 1625 Francis Bacon wrote an essay on
envy, every point of which is illustrated and enforced in
"Shakespeare's" play; the play and the essay both expressing the same
sentiments, and being published for the first time several years
after Shaksper's death?
