Travailer 33 Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Everything appears to be going along just fine until we get to pages 36-37 of The two Gentlemen of Verona. Then page 37 and page 38 are incorrectly labeled as The Merry Wives of Windsor even though it is actually...NOT the Merry Wives of Windsor but should be corrected to The two Gentlemen of Verona. As most of you know, The Tragedie of Troylus and Cressida is not even listed in the catalogue of plays, and incorrectly finds itself in The Histories section of the plays. We also know that only two of the twenty-eight pages even have a page number. Those would be pages 79 and 80. Well, in the header of pages 79 and 80 we find it titled "The Tragedie of Troylus and Cressida", whereas the rest of the header pages only call it "Troylus and Cresida"...... The rest of the phrase is dropped. The numbered pages of The Tragedie of Troylus and Cressida, 79 and 80 appear to desperately want to re-insert themselves back where they belong in the Tragedies section of the Folio. What do we find if we go to page 79 of the Tragedies section? We find that we are on the last page of The Tragedie of Romeo and Juliet and that the page number is wrong, because 77 and 78 are completely missing. Maybe these stories are interconected in some way, and the whole thing is more complex than the Back to the Future Trilogy.... 1
