Looking for source for who first saw that 1623 was a ruse substitution cipher  for FBAC .IMG_0260.jpeg.b241cce125b17cbb41fc90d3a35cf2a3.jpegIMG_0262.jpeg.f0ecf2fc5a00ad9eda7b18e184f929da.jpeg
And while playing with the Numerical Enigma puzzledom with that 1623, it was interesting to see the letters MLRW with those positions in

[M][r] [W] I L [L] I A M
[1] [2] [3] 4 5 [6]7 8 9

... which just happen to be the consonants in the name MaRLoWe.

Thank you Arpy ! That is an interesting question that lead to an interesting result ! 😊

It seems to be in the Baconiana of 1907 (page 265) by one J. C.  :

EDIT:

From The Dignity and Advancement of Learning in Latin (De Dignitate et Augmentis Scientarium), Volume VI :
"Wherefore let us come to CYPHARS. Their kinds are many as, Cyphars simple; Cyphars intermixt with Nulloes, or non-significant Characters; Cyphers of double Letters under one Character; Wheele-Cyphars; Kay-Cyphars; Cyphars of words"

Page 33 of the 1907 Baconiana you linked has a message for some few who care enough. 😉

Thank you Rob ! 🙏❤️

The fact is that I am still working on my "special" video, and yesterday I made some slides involving Roger Bacon !

I will definitively add one more slide with this quote. 😊
