The Rosy Cross. New Series

However, if the intention is to confront the authorship question with veracity, the project would benefit enormously by asking A. Phoenix to comment on the script, i.e. privately.

I'd expect anyone doing real research on a production that involves Bacon would be known to a few of us. Oak Island producers reached out to some of us a few years ago, over the years a few other researchers as well. The Baconian inner circle is not that big.

It may be that A. Phoenix, Kate, maybe even Lawrence have been approached and are part of the process in the shadows. Its none of my business really. As of today, I'm not seeing the quality of them in the early promotional material. In fact, I feel like I am seeing slight-of-hand and some deception. And I truly feel bad about that and hope I am wrong.

I'm all ears, eager to see Bacon get his due.

Given what we know of the life and times of Sir Francis Bacon, a well-informed historical drama based on his life doesn't need to be sensationalised or embellished. By sticking to the facts as closely as possible, the proposed movie will have great longevity, and not simply be a flash in the pan.

Bacon's story is not a conspiracy theory looking to replace Jerry Springer's void, it is an evidence based well researched and deeply studied history that includes Shakespeare, his Royal Birth, his scientific and philosophical contributions, and so much more. And the more we learn about Bacon's life the more fascinating it becomes.

The Rosy Cross is all we have right now. I'm on board even though I was hoping for something much bigger.

Would love to see a recreation on screen of a secret Elizabethan scriptorium in full swing under the direction of Francis Bacon - at Twickenham House or Gorhambury, for instance. Unless exceptionally well written by a screen writer with an ear for Elizabethan and Jacobean phrasing, words, etc., the end result may be less than convincing as a work of historical fiction. Nothing worse that spoken anachronisms in films set in the distant past, i.e. when characters use modern idioms that are out of place. Fingers crossed, the screen writer is steeped in late-16th - early-17th English culture.

Hi Rob,

We have not been approached or are working in the shadows behind the scenes withThe Rosy Cross team and know no more about the project (at the moment) than anyone else on B'Hive. Like all true Baconians, we only want the best for the Great One.

Love

The Phoenixes.

Tom is now a member of the B'Hive, so we should be enjoying his company pretty soon. 🙂

Hello and thanks for having me! I feel honoured to be invited. As Bacon would want, let us be kind, compassionate and accepting in our dialogue. I am happy to be the mouthpiece for the Rosy Cross team, so best to keep communications and comments to me as a central figure. This is why I joined the forum. I believe that not enough TV or film creators engage directly with fanbase and so I always wanted to be available for those who are so passionate about Bacon and his world. I hope this shows willing to the group and Bacon fans that they are being listened to, engaged with and part of this journey.

First off, I am a Baconian. My background is history and English Literature and I am a huge believer in research and accuracy informing these types of projects. This will be a show based on evidence, with Sir Francis Bacon as the main character. I have been researching for a long time on this and where I haven't read absolutely everything, I have a strong grip on the life and works of Bacon. His is a story I have wanted to bring to the screen for some time - but only with the caveat that it has to be faithful to what we know about him, his works and beliefs. I cannot share story or script materials, but the action will be based upon significant timeline events in his life which are factual and accurate. I have written feature scripts on Kit Marlowe, and know this world deeply on story telling level. You don't have to look far to find great, true stories in this era.

As regards 'conspiracy' or 'Shakespeare' concerns, I would say that in every single press release or coverage, the words 'SIR FRANCIS BACON' appear, which is precisely what I wanted - to present this project through that angle. I don't write the headlines or content for media, so they choose the output and headlines, but what I have been delighted about is that when you read the stories, you can see what the angle is - FB behind the plays. I think this sets out the stall very clearly - so as Kate says, we can be pleased that Bacon is a name now in the press realms and has generated much interest in the great work done to show his clear hand behind the plays. I have not seen the Oak Island series. But -

I am not a Twitter powerhouse but if we can share and promote, and keep the momentum going, we will energise the fanbase. To be clear, I am not after money - raising TV finance doesn't work quite like a film project - but any crumbs of support you can offer are always gratefully received. You never know who knows who, and this project has acquired a divine life of its own. I was in NYC last year, in a bar in Jersey, sat with a very non talkative ex marine. When I volunteered that I was working on this project, his eyes lit up and he pulled out a Latin copy of the first Rosicrucian Manifesto - he took it everywhere, including to 'Desert Storm'. He reads it everyday. He was thrilled someone was making a show that he could relate to and engage with. So Rosicruciansim ideal drive not just storyline, but this story. There have been amazing signs everywhere. Bacon is having some fun with me, for sure!

I can't guarantee you will all agree with everything I do, but one of Bacon's legacies is that we have the right to agree or disagree, kindly and with understanding.

I can say we have an absolutely ENORMOUS acting name still to be revealed ( I cannot say who, for a plethora of legal reasons) ut it will make sense when you see who. The actor was the first to sign on; the script was sent on the Friday, they signed on by the Monday. So top people are responding.

Much love and respect to all of you and your work. I will post when I can so don't be despondent if I am not immediately back on.

Tom

I have been in contact with the chair of the Sir Francis Bacon Society, and they are keen to lend support!

Welcome to the B'Hive Tom!

It's great to have you here with us. I've been a bit of a partypoop so far, skeptical, questioning this and that, so now you can answer to my fears, or those of others. You already made me feel better about The Rosy Cross!

Something we know in this forum is that no two Baconians agree on everything. We all agree on some things. I promise I won't suggest what you should believe, but will share what is in my brain. 🙂

Thank you and feel free to participate and enjoy the B'Hive!

So many on that list, some of my favorites are all about 80 years old or more!

Robert De Niro would make a great OLD Bacon! LOL

The initial launch promotion is this, "Shakespeare Conspiracy Series ‘The Rosy Cross’"

The target audience is the Oak Island viewers I suppose. That approach to Bacon's life does not give me the warm fuzzies, it gives me a nervous pit in my stomach. In Bacon's New Atlantis today, "Conspriracy Theories" are not helping Bacon's dream come true.

I'm hopeful, but even as wild as my theories go, I like some substance with the concepts I entertain in my head. Yea, I'm not one to question his work, I get it. I just would feel better if we had something to go on with TJ Kennan's project.

I wonder what the modern Rosicrucian movement thinks of his tag line? "Shakespeare Conspiracy Series ‘The Rosy Cross’"

Is it best treated in the hands of talented creative writers who want to have popular success in a drama series? What do we know about the recipe for drawing viewers in with pop culture treatments of speculative history? I submit it is often about maximizing the intrigue and the mystery in the suggestions. There's a real possibility it will go and take from many places where there is enough overlap in interest to capture a wide audience.  We' ll have to see what they propose for the Rosy Cross. It's not clear to me what they have in mind simply from looking at what Peter Amundsen's series suggested. He got chased off of Oak Island before for trying to make it about what he believed it to be. I'm afraid of the religious relics fandom...They desperately have pinned so much down on theories they feel they might be able to exploit.

My dream is for Disney to put everything they have into BACON's story, and they need it more than they know. We all need it more than we know.

Tom Keenan is member now, so we can include him in our dialog.

It is 2023, 400 years after the First Folio was published. There is a minor history in film with Bacon popping up. But Bacon has never been the main theme that I know of.

The Oxen had their big, substantial, decent technical quality and well financed motion picture, "Anonymous." It was a flop, but they put a lot of time and money into it. It was their shot, and they promoted it very well. And they missed the target. They loved it among themselves.

It is time, and has been time for a Bacon story. Today an online subscription series is a valid venue. I still dream of the Academy Award slam dunk movie about Bacon that will be the Shakespeare of modern day media, forever. But I dream.

CJ, you teach me to be aware of my beliefs. My belief until a few days ago was the happy day I would read the first press release about "BACON, The Movie," it would come with a powerful trailer and amazing posters, attention on every TV and online source, and much more.

Reality is 400 years after the First Folio was seen by the world forever, Tom (TJ) Keenan appears in an article in Variety that he is creating Bacon's story and Kate who we love and respect brings it to our attention on the B'Hive. That is exciting!

Tom, I assume you are reading this, connecting with your fan base. 😉

My questions:

  1. Will this be the Big Bang for Bacon, fulfilling Bacon's dreams and plans for "future ages" and "foreign nations"?
Tom, you got Mickey Mouse in your pocket? Funny, there is another Tom Keenan who works at Disney.

  2. Tom, are you ready for this?
Seriously, are you ready? (You have to say "yes" as we a public website.)

  3. How rigid is your first season script?
I'm hoping you have a pilot and a loose script. That way you can listen to some experience and advice from we who have lived this moment for a chunk of our lives. (OK, yea that is an arrogant thing to say! LOL)

  4. Does it start before Bacon was born, and after?
Who is playing the 7 to 10 year old Bacon?

  5. Can one of my favorite 80 year old plus actors play Dr. John Dee??
I will choose one if I may.

  6. If we trust you, Tom, based on your commitment to factual history, as much as can be a factual, if Netflix buys the series and wants to turn it into a sick joke about Bacon financed by Oxies or Strats you can and will say, "NO!"

  7. If I say, "I will teach you your leripup to know", can you reply properly? 😉

Tonight I feel excited. Maybe because my wife and I were doing some gardening this afternoon on a crazy beautiful day in Florida. Maybe some planet moved from one area to the next, I don't know. Some good energy seems to be crackling tonight.

I noticed our little guppy pond in our backyard was entertaining a swarm of honey bees taking water back to their Queen in their hive. They were already visiting the flowers we bought and planted over the past couple days.

We did transition from Sonnet 52 to 53 today, which I always enjoy every year. Right now we are in this Line (GMT):

"VVHat is your substance, whereof are you made,"

Two lines:

VVHat is your substance, whereof are you made,
That millions of strange shaddowes on you tend?

OK, I did not send an email to Nick, and will honor your request. And you can reach out to any of us in private messages in the B'Hive, and I believe we who have been around are trustworthy enough to have individual private conversations behind the scenes. The public forum will help solidify your place and role in our Baconian community for a long time. Google, and the AI also pays attention to every word. 🙂

Privately you can ask for help from any of us if you need it.

So, you appear to be the 2023 Bacon guy to me right now! Wow, WOW! Let's make it work!

Tom, you said:

"There have been amazing signs everywhere. Bacon is having some fun with me, for sure!"

Yup, I get it, Bacon has that same fun with many of us. 😉

Hello Light-of-Truth. Just had a look at The Rosy Cross website. I feel a bit let down. Not a lot of information. Extremely basic site. What if you (for an agreed fee) were to redesign Tom's website? Needs to create a sense of anticipation, wonder... I think you'd do a terrific job and make the project's presence on the www visually more exciting.

Yea, it's pretty bad. It is not secure which is important these days. Tom, you need to add an SSL certificate so you can use HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.rosycrossproductions.com.

The three social icons in the top left are not programmed with your accounts, another easy fix, especially if you want anyone to follow you on social media.

I suspect that until the Variety article was published, the website was just a placeholder. But now that you are actively promoting the series, Tom, everything connected to the series should reflect the highest quality possible. Your friends, family, and some of the general public might not notice or care if something is lacking a shine, but investors will absolutely notice.

We are all very excited to enjoy Bacon finally getting his day in the Sun! A dream for many of us!!

Thank you!

I see you nailed a highly valuable copyright!

image.png.78aff76849da2bb8b5559007106305b7.png

That's like securing a copyright to "Sir Francis Bacon"! 🙂

Have you read Peter Dawkins article, "Secrets of the Rosy Cross"?

https://www.fbrt.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Secrets_of_the_Rosy_Cross.pdf

At the end of this required reading for some of us:

Finally it should be pointed out that the cipher C.R. can refer to the Compass Rose, a means of navigation. Rosicrucians were known as “Navigators”. In this respect, John Dee’s General and Rare Memorials pertayning to the Perfect Arte of Navigation holds many Rosicrucian secrets and should be considered a twin to his Monas Hieroglyphica. Likewise, Francis Bacon’s set of books describing and part-illustrating The Great Instauration carry on their title-pages the ship Argo—the ship of the Rosicrucians in search of the Golden Fleece of illumined knowledge, the mead of the gods. The Compass Rose is a means by which this knowledge can be found. It is also associated with the Clock, as right timing as well as direction and positioning is an essential part of the work

Did Peter say "Clock"? Funny Marvin mentioned that even a broken clock is right twice a day. 😉

The "right timing as well as direction and positioning is an essential part of the work".

And you have the copyright for "The Rosy Cross", your timing is good being 2023. Alan Green has some ooomph, but we need you to rise above the fluff.

Peter:

The Ancient Egyptians portrayed the Rosy Cross as the Ankh, the Cross of Life, wherein the Rose rises up from the Tau Cross like a flame—a flame of love.
