In addition to "lazy", "ignorant" and "fraudulent" - greedy, cowardly and intellectually dishonest could be added.

So it seems that conservative "Bacon scholars" have avoided studying Francis Bacon's personal notebook written in his own handwriting because it contains hundreds of phrases in multiple languages which also appear in Shakespeare's plays and elsewhere in his writings. Both the Bacon-Shakespeare Manuscript and the Promus are incontrovertible primary source evidence for Bacon's authorship of the plays attributed to William Shakespeare. These two priceless documents, which have somehow managed to evade Francis Bacon's own tight control over his literary estate and all the vicissitudes of the last four centuries, are so significant that if their existence became general knowledge it could undermine the very foundations of traditional "Shakespearean" scholarship. At least Stewart and Knight have transcribed the Promus verbatim.

I hereby announce that I am not a "Bacon Scholar." I believe I am a "Baconian"

Question is, how many Bacon Scholars are Baconians, and how many Baconians are Bacon Scholars.

All I know is when I am doing what I do on my PC and in my life, my wife says I am Baconating.

Tell me, did Francis Bacon consider himself a Scholar? LOL

Bacon's friends probably teased him for Shakenating all the time! 🙂

Baconators of the world unite! Do you think it's possible to be a Baconator and a Shakenator at the same time?

Is Betty Crocker a real person or not? Not. She was made up by a Minneapolis baking company in 1921. When customers wrote and asked for help, they were sent letters signed "Betty Crocker." She wasn't real. The idea was to make customers feel they were getting friendly service. A few years later, she even got her own radio show. Actresses just pretended to be her. In 1976 the company made the first picture of Betty Crocker by blending the faces of lots of women at the company. Since then the picture's been changed several times. Funny, even though her name's been on cookbooks and baking products for many years, she never looks any older. But people believed she was real.

Anyone wanting to know more about the indefatigable Constance Mary Pott and her monumental work The Promus, take a look at this video from the Francis Bacon Society by its Chair Susan McIlroy and readings by actor Briony Rawle. It looks at Pott’s own letters and recollections of how she came a Baconian, how she began her incredible work and her talks with contemporaries among them Bacon Biographer James Spedding.

Fascinating and inspiring!

‘Shakespeare was written by Sir Francis Bacon. The evidence from Constance Pott, founder of the Francis Bacon Society 1886.

'‘What is truth?’ said jesting Pilate; and would not stay for an answer’. That was delicious! I being then about 9 years old....read that first Essay of Truth... I was thenceforward a Baconian.’

So said Constance Fearon, later Mrs Henry Pott, inspiration for the founding of the Francis Bacon Society in 1886. And when the Society became, ‘so formal and proper that it has lost all sociability’, she proceeded to found a second Bacon Society in 1905.

Mrs Pott had 11 children, and in the words of one Baconiana editor: ‘she even managed to have her first born on Francis Bacon’s birthday’! The talk encompasses a selection from Mrs Pott’s impressive output: her publication of Bacon’s Promus of Formularies and Elegancies, her books, 'Did Francis Bacon Write Shakespeare?', and 'Francis Bacon and his Secret Society', and excerpts from her private letters, papers and Baconiana articles.’
