The only copy of Bellamy's book I could find was on Amazon for $500 USD.

Also it is in libraries. Inter-library loan.

This is a book for my collection, and from skim reading the Google preview, it contains a wealth of valuable Knowledge.

Ryan offered a short review on the B'Hive in the first week or two of this Forum's life:

Isn't it peculiar that these title page acrostics never spell "Marlow" or "De Vere" ? 🙂

Well, even though I laugh out loud, De Vere pops up. In fact, almost every time Bacon used the word "ever" in the works, a random "d" might be around. Oxies are all over a lot of them. When they are lucky, the context might even possibly hint at De Vere.

"Ever" is a common word. Bacon knew De Vere.

Richard Wagner and I have spent hours discussing a specific Sonnet (Canopy) that he is very strong in claiming it is about De Vere and changes the date of the 1609 date of the Sonnets. I disagree, interpreting the Sonnets from my own way. But he wins on his vast and solid knowledge of everybody and all the events back then. I'm like, "But 1609 fits in so many ways..."

And I admit the guy who was De Vere is not anyone I would ever become a devoted researcher of, so i just tune out. Guilty of not behaving as Bacon would.

I've never thought about Marlow ciphers. I do like the idea. We know Bacon wrote the works, so once the world is aware, Marlow seems like an interesting character to learn about. 🙂

I don't even know if Bacon knew him.

EDIT, as usual...
